Financial Aid
Central Lutheran is the best buy in the area!
A Central Lutheran Education is affordable:
It is our sincere desire to make a quality Christian education accessible to those families who support our values, and who seek partnership with our school. Central Lutheran distributes financial aid to families on the basis of need. All financial aid applications are handled with strict confidence. In addition to our Financial Assistance Program we also offer $500 scholarships to kindergartners and new students that meet the program guidelines.
Families can lower their own tuition costs by making every day purchases through our SCRIP program and keep costs low for everyone by participating in other incentive programs.
Payment Options
For your convenience, CLS has a couple different payment options available.
- Option 1: Pay tuition monthly through our online billing service - SMART TUITION after placing 20% down.
- Option 2: Pay tuition in full by June 1st and receive a 5% discount on tuition.
Our Scrip Program
SCRIP is a term that means "substitute money". When school families purchase SCRIP, they are purchasing gift certificates that are used just like cash. SCRIP is issued by national and local retailers at a discount off the face value of the certificate. The SCRIP is then sold to the families at full face value, thus generating revenue. All profit is divided between CLS and the family purchasing SCRIP, (in the form of a tuition credit).
The reason for the effectiveness of SCRIP is simple: families produce revenue by making purchases that they would make anyway. An organization of 150 families easily spends between one and two million dollars per year on food, clothing, gasoline and other essentials. They can raise as much as $40,000 - $80,000 per year without spending an additional penny. This is a great opportunity for CLS and our school families. All you have to do is use the program! By planning a little bit ahead and using SCRIP for your everyday purchases, money can be raised for our school and for your child's tuition.
