Registration

We are very excited to start our school year!

In doing so, we do want to follow the recommendations of the Indiana Department of Education that strongly encourage restricting visitor access to the building and utilizing digital meeting options when possible.

As such we have worked to try and limit the amount of time you will need to be in the building prior to school starting.

Please read below to find how you can complete registration prior to the beginning of school:

Registration Day

Traditionally, on this day you would rotate through several stations to complete any additional needs:

PTL Theme Shirts are available again this year with our theme “Sent to Serve”. These may be worn on Charger Spirit Days and dress down days throughout the year. They will cost $15 and be available in youth small - adult 3xl.

An order form will be sent home the first week of school. Contact PTL@cluth.org with any questions.

Room Parent Sign Ups are digital this year! If you are willing to be a room parent please sign up using this form.  Room parents help organize class parties and activities, are responsible for purchasing teacher gifts (ie. Christmas, birthday, teacher appreciation, & end of year.) They also act as a link between the PTL and parents to help encourage participation in events.

Background Checks are still being completed. Our reopening plan limits visitors in the building but we are still able to utilize volunteers in a limited capacity. If you, or a family member, are interested in volunteering please make sure to fill out this form for each family member.

CLS Spirit Wear is available at this link. The online store will close August 9th and orders will be delivered after school begins.

Lunches for this year will cost $2.35 and milk will be $0.50.

Mrs. Bell will be reaching out to families that have remaining lunch/milk money from last year.

If you would like to add lunch money for the start of the year please indicate how many lunch/milk cards are needed on your billing statement and include the cost in your final bill.

Lunch cards are $47.00 for 20 lunches and milk cards are $10.00 for 20 milks. If you are interested in looking into Free and Reduced Lunch please contact Mrs. Bell (jbell@cluth.org) or the school office (lkleinschmidt@cluth.org).

Gym Clothes for junior high will not be needed this year. Due to restrictions, students will remain in their school clothes for gym. If gym clothes are used later in the year the students may bring shorts and shirts from home.

Financial Aid is still available!

Please reach out to Greg Messmann at gmessmann@cluth.org for more information.

If you feel your billing statement is correct you may drop it off during office hours or mail your payment to:

Central Lutheran School at 900 Green Street, New Haven, IN 46774.

Please make sure you indicate and include any lunch payments in your bill and check.

If you would like to set up payments or need clarification on your bill please sign up for a time to meet with office staff to make corrections/arrangements.

To limit any potential exposure, when coming to school please use the cafeteria doors, wear masks, and limit the number in attendance if possible.

Tell the Teacher More Day

For several years we have been able to meet before school starts to hear about how much you love your children. We still want to do that! Please take some time to fill out a Tell the Teacher More form for each child attending Central (Pre-Grade 8). On the form you will also be able to indicate if you’d like a zoom meeting or phone call with your child’s teacher.

Open House - Monday, August 10 - 5:30-8:00pm

We will be offering a limited open house/meet the teacher night this year to reduce the number of people in the building at any time.

Sign up here for each teacher you will visit.

This is a great time for your child to bring his/her supplies, practice walking down to their class, and quickly introduce themselves to their teacher.

  • Please enter through Door 1 and exit through Door 2.

  • Masks are required for ages 3 and up.

  • Families are asked to limit the number in attendance and the times slots needed to as few as possible.

  • Please note that this is completely optional. If you are health compromised or uncomfortable being in the building please send supplies in the first week.

Orientation

Our traditional orientation night will be recorded by classroom teachers this year and shared with families. The good news is that you can watch them when it is convenient for you!

We are excited to get your kids back in school to share Christ’s love with them. Thank you for joining hands with us in this unprecedented time.
